- Q.
Can I get my own domain name? (www.myname.com)
A. Yes you can. We will walk you through this process.
-
Q. Do I need my own computer?
A. Technically no. However, if you wish to update your site without
Nevada Website you will need access to one. For example, one of
our clients, redoakrealestate.com,
we do the updating since the real estate firm needs its site updated
almost weekly. So if you have a site that has frequent updates,
you might have us maintain the site for you.
- Q.
How does one update a site?
A. The most common way sites are updated is by using a FTP(file
transfer protocal) program. One we might recommend for those wishing
to do their own updating is called cuteftp. You can download this
program from Globalscape here.
This is a trial version which lasts 30 days. Once it expires you
will have to pay to keep using it.
- Q.
How much does it cost to build a website?
A. Please see our packages area for
a list of prices.
- Q.
How much does it cost monthly?
A. The monthly cost is for the hosting of the website. Websites
are stored on hosting computers that are continuously connected
to the internet. When a websurfer punches in a web address(www.ebay.com)
the hosting computer that houses that site then sends the requested
information to the websurfer's computer. The cost to host a website
is minimal. Usually around $25 a month. For very large sites, sites
that use databases, or sites that offer streaming video and music
we price according to the use of bandwidth and computer resources.
We give a custom quote if this is the case.
- Q.
How long does it take to build a site and get it on the internet?
A. Small sites can be built in a week or two. Larger sites or
sites with Flash usually take several weeks and sometimes even months
to complete.
- Q.
Where do I get started?
A. Go to our contact page and phone, email,
or write us.
